Breakfast Time at the Angelina Tearoom
Article submitted by Cécile Zarokian
There’s nothing like Paris at breakfast time! The unmistakable aroma of coffee mixed with the divine scent of freshly-baked buttery bread is enough to jolt your appetite. While almost every French cafe and bakery could satisfy your hunger, none offer the same experience as the Angelina Tearoom can.
The Angelina Tea House on rue de Rivoli is the perfect place to enjoy a quintessentially Parisian breakfast. The gilded frescoes, leather-backed chairs, marble-topped tables, and intricate crown-moldings offer a magnificent ambiance in which to enjoy an equally splendid morning-time meal.
The Parisian Breakfast is an excellent choice. This breakfast set would allow you to enjoy a hot beverage (tea, coffee, or their world-famous hot chocolate), freshly pressed fruit juice (either orange, grapefruit, or lemon), mini viennoiseries (butter croissant and their famed pan au chocolat), and bread rolls served with butter, jam, honey, and their celebrated chestnut cream.
If you’d prefer a heavier meal or would like to share with a friend, try the Angelina Breakfast instead. Apart from everything you get with the Parisian Breakfast, the Angelina Breakfast also includes eggs prepared any way you want (scrambled, fried, soft-boiled, or omelet) and a fruit salad.
For a lighter breakfast option, try the Angelina Croissant with ham and scrambled eggs. For this ala carte option, you’d need to order your beverage separately. The most popular choice would be the Angelina hot chocolate, but their tea selections are just as splendid. You can’t go wrong with their coffee, either. No matter what you try, the Angelina Tearoom is one of the best places you can spend your mornings in Paris.
