For the person who is exploring the US for the first or second time, these are the top 5 vacation spots in the US to try.
San Franciso, California is a popular destination for all ages, families and romantics. There is a diverse culture in arts, music, museums and architecture. The many hillside streets and historic cable cars are unique to this city by the bay. Most people think first of the Golden Gate Bridge and it is surely a must for the visitor. There is also Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, and the crooked streets of Lombard in Russian Hill.
Of course, Orlando, Florida has something for everyone, especially the kids. Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, Gatorland, Epcot Center and many other theme attractions and crocodile farms keep visitors happy and busy for their whole vacation.
Coming in at number 3 is Las Vegas, Nevada, famous for gambling, dining, shopping and entertainment. Of course, the casinos are the major attraction. Also you have Adventuredome, Desperado, Gondola and other theme parks and attractions to keep you out of the casinos for a while.
Everyone should visit New York City at least once in their lifetime. Culture, fashion and entertainment are famous in the City that Never Sleeps. Visit the Empire State Building Ellis Island, Broadway, Times Square and the Statue of Liberty. Remember to pay your respects at Ground Zero.
Last, but certainly not least, on the list of the top 5 spots, is the Grand Canyon, Arizona. It is a steep gorge along the Colorado River in Arizona and is 6000 feet deep. There is camping, mule rides, sightseeing, rafting, hiking and helicopter rides. The viewpoints of the North and South Rims are breathtaking.
